At I Am Prep Academy, located in Tallahassee, FL, we are committed to providing the highest-quality educational foundation for children from 6 weeks to 9 years old. Founded in December 2024 by Dr. Angela Wills, we offer a nurturing, innovative, and supportive environment where both children and staff are empowered to grow.
Our team of dedicated educational experts and educators are at the forefront of the latest advancements in childhood development, educational strategies, and best practices. We strive to create an atmosphere where every team member is valued and supported, as we work together to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders.
Our philosophy centers around the belief that early education should be a fun, safe, and stimulating experience, where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop the skills they need for future success. 1-Year-Old Teacher
Role Overview
The 1-Year-Old Teacher at I Am Prep Academy will play a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting the development of children in their first year of life. This teacher will create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children to explore and grow, fostering early social and motor skills development.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement a curriculum that supports language development, motor skills, and emotional growth.
• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities to encourage social interaction, independence, and curiosity.
• Provide a nurturing, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor and document children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents.
• Work closely with other teachers and staff to support the overall development of each child.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (Early Childhood Education certification preferred).
• Previous experience working with young children (especially in a daycare or preschool setting).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance Requirements
• Background checks.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
2-Year-Old Teacher
Role Overview
The 2-Year-Old Teacher will create an enriching learning environment that promotes emotional, social, and cognitive development for toddlers. This teacher will foster independence, creativity, and early language skills, providing children with opportunities to explore through play-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement activities that encourage language, fine motor, and social-emotional development.
• Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, ensuring all children are cared for and engaged.
• Track and report children’s milestones and developmental progress.
• Communicate with parents regarding children's progress, challenges, and milestones.
• Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate classroom activities.
• Provide a welcoming atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (Early Childhood Education certification preferred).
• Prior experience working with toddlers or in early childhood education.
• Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate activities.
